Metal substrates often have oil stains, oxide scales, rust layers, and even residual salts attached to their surfaces. If they are coated directly without thorough cleaning, even the highest-quality anti-corrosion coatings cannot function. In a professional construction process, workers first thoroughly remove surface grease through solvent cleaning, and then use sandblasting to polish the substrate to achieve a uniform roughness, revealing the fresh luster of the metal. This additional treatment can increase the adhesion of the coating several times.

　　In the standard construction process for anti-corrosion coating on scales, workers also perform an additional "priming" step: using anti-corrosion glue to fill the pores, pitted surfaces, and grooves on the substrate surface in advance, to prevent voids inside the coating from becoming "hiding places" for corrosive media. After final completion, a curing and maintenance period of more than 24 hours is reserved, and the coating is never put into use ahead of schedule, even if there is a tight deadline. These detailed operations that exceed the requirements of "quick completion" are the key to the long-term anti-corrosion performance of the coating.
